We invite you to an open square
for science that holds dreams
of a sustainable future.
Director LuceriumKim Sunah

Lucerium is at the heart of science and technology education for Gwangju, Jeju and their surrounding regions, fostering curiosity and imagination among adolescents and raising awareness over the importance of science among adults.

Lucerium opened its doors in October 2013, and by 2018, 850,000 visitors have enjoyed a wide variety of exhibitions, education programs and scientific cultural events. The number of visitors has been increasing every year, showing Lucerium’s importance in the promotion of a culture of science in Korea.

Understanding and applying science and technology is key to prospering in a new era. As an open space where the latest in science and technology can be directly experienced, Lucerium is a beacon of extracurricular education for science and technology.

Lucerium will strive to spread the new science and technology needed to prosper amid rapid changes in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and Lucerium will also become a creative scientific space where everyone of all walks of life can experience and discuss science and technology.

Thank you.
